'Qaeda' bombing on Ghadeer procession in al Jawf martyrs 23

SANAA, Yemen: AFP reported that a suicide car bomber
martyred 23 people at al-Ghadeer procession in Yemen on Wednesday
(last week) an attack a tribal chief charged was a bid by Al-Qaeda to
fan sectarian tensions in the already restive country.
The bomber struck in Al-Jawf province as the faithful were preparing
to mark Al-Ghadeer, the day on which is observed the anointment of
Imam Ali (AS) as successor to the Prophet Mohammed (s).
