Martyrdom Day of Sayidah Zahraa (p) marked in S-Arabia

AL-QATEEF, Saudi Arabia: Martyrdom anniversary of Sayidaton Nissa-il-Aa`lamin Fatimah Az-Zahraa (peace be on her) was observed in different parts of Saudi Arabia on Jamadi`al-Oulaa 13 with due reverence.

Marking the sad occasion, majales al-Azaiyah (mourning sittings) and mawakib al-Azaa (mourning processions) were held in Qateef, Sehat, Ahsaa, Tarout, Khaweldiyah, Dammam, Medina and some other cities. Black mourning banners and standards were hanged and hoisted in Mosques and husseinyaat to express grief on the martyrdom anniversary of Bed`atur Rasul (Part of holy Prophet, peace be on him and his pure progeny).

Most of the markets were closed to honor the occasion.

Mosques and husseiniyaat were packed with mourners who by performing azaa offered their deepest condolences to the Chief of Prophets Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him and his pure progeny) and his Ahlol Bayt (peace be on them) on the martyrdom of Omm al-A`immah (Mother of infallible imams).

Speakers highlighted different aspects of the pious life of Fatimah Az-Zahraa (peace be on her) as well as depicted her mosibah (sufferings).

After mourning sittings, processions were taken out attended by large number of black-dressed mourners who were beating their heads and chests in mourning. Renowned dirge-chanters participated.
