Syria marks Moledur Rasul & Imam Sadiq (p) with festive gatherings

DAMASCUS, Syria: The scented occasion of Mauledo Fakheril Makhluqat, or the birth anniversary of the Best of Created Beings, Seal of Prophets, Intercessor of Ommah and Deliverer of Humanity Prophet Muhammad (p) and his infallible descendant Al-Imam Jaffar bin Muhammad As-Sadiq (p) was celebrated in Damascus with great fervor and zeal on 17 Raby Al-Awwal.

Marking the occasion, flocks streamed into the holy shrines of Sayyedah Zeinab bent-e-Ali (p), Sayyedah Sakinah bentol Hussein (p) and other personalities of Islam to hold festive gatherings therein. Eulogists offered floral tributes in praise of holy Prophet (p) and Al-Imam As-Sadiq (p), thus extended their felicitations to Bent-e-Ali (p) and Bentol Hussein (p). Sweets were distributed and feasts were arranged.

Similar gatherings were also held at different husseiniyaat, mosques and office of Ayaat. As-Sayyed Abu-Adeeb Kazemi opened a program at husseiniyah Zeinabiyah. As-Sayyed Mehdi Al-Monawwari and Sheikh Jawwad Malik addressed and highlighted different aspects of the holy lives of Prophet (p) and his sixth successor (p). Poet Sheikh Sadiq Al-Hilaly and poet and speaker Sheikh Abdul Amir An-Nasrawy recited eulogies. At the end of the program, memorial gifts inscribed with the holy names of the Great Prophet (p) and Al-Imam As-Sadiq (p) were presented to the participants.
