RAWALPINDI: A meeting of World Chehlum (fortieth) Committee of TNFJ was held here on Sunday to review arrangements to observe universal Chehlum of TNFJ martyrs of Bari Imam, martyrs of Madina-tul-Ilm Karachi and La’al Shah Sorasi on July 1 in line with the announcement of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Meesam Tammar presided over the meeting that was attended by office-bearers and members of the Committee.

In his address on the occasion, Meesam Tammar terming all incidents of murder and arson open terrorism has said international colonial powers have made the oppressed and Muslim States their target, particularly their agents were involved in carrying out oppression against the have-nots, particularly the Maktab-e-Tashayyo with the purpose to stop the strength of the have-nots against international colonial powers.

He said it has become crystal clear now that everywhere governments were trying their utmost to prove incidents of terrorism as sectarianism while all and sundry know that these are acts of open terrorism, therefore, international organisations were condemning the same openly.

Recently, he added, human rights organisations have unveiled Egyptian government’s oppression against Ahle Tashayyo who are kept in jails for long periods without trial. The United Nations Human Rights Group on Arbitrary Detention has demanded release of Shia lawyer Muhammad Ad-Darini declaring his arrest a violation of International Declaration of Human Rights. The Egyptian Interior Ministry has refused to free the said lawyer despite issuance of orders for four times from a Cairo court to free him.

According to Shia Advocacy Group, the Egyptian government has arrested that lawyer for trying to form a forum for Egypt’s Ahle Tashayyo. According to another group, he said, the cause of his arrest are those books that he has written in honour of Ahle Bait (A.S.) while colonial and Zionist powers were trampling the dignity of Quran and other religious books on the other which is condemnable.

The Bari Imam Incident Committee for Chehlum of TNFJ martyrs has nominated Conveners for the Chehlum Committee for all the four provinces including Federal Capital Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas in addition to foreign countries.

Those who are nominated as Conveners/Secretaries for abroad are: Tahiri Shah and A.K. Naqvi (Americas), Zahid Hussain (Africa), Yasser Abbas and Khizr Naqvi (South Asia), Nasir Abbas, M.H. Kazmi and Rehmat Ali Shah (Europe), Mukhtar Ali, B.A. Suhail, Kazim Raza Kazmi and Ejaz Mazahiri (Middle East).

Meanwhile, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami has been nominated Convener, Allama Guftar Hussain Sadiqi as Deputy Convener and Zulfiqar Ali Raja as Secretary for Federal Capital Islamabad while other Conveners/Secretaries are:

Allama Abu Jafar Naqvi, Syed Zafar Abbas Naqvi (Punjab), Sardar Hassan Ali Qazilbash, S.A. Kazmi (Sarhad), Syed Lutfullah Shah Lakyari, Allama Waqar Hassan Taqvi (Sindh), Muhammad Ali Advocate, Nisar Ali Hazara (Balochistan), Riaz Hussain Kazmi, Zulfiqar Kazmi (Azad Kashmir), and Akhund Ghulam Muhammad Amoni (Northern Areas).
