Makkah witnesses Imam Baqir (p) martyrdom commemoration

HOLY MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia: In commemoration of the
martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Muhammad Al-Baqer (p), fifth
infallible successor of holy Prophet (p), majales-e-aza were held in
the holy city of Makkah where millions of Muslims have been gathered
to perform Hajj.
Hojjatol Islam Sayyed Ali Asghar Al-Modarresi addressed a majlis al-azaiyah
marking the occasion and threw light on the importance of role of
Al-Imam Al-Baqir (p) in the Islamic history and in disseminating
knowledge. Then he depicted his martyrdom.
Delegations of Grand Maraje and hajj pilgrims, in a large number,
attended a majlis al-aza which took place at another venue.
Dirge-chanters recited dirges and described sufferings of martyrdom of
Al-Imam Al-Baqir (p). Prayers were offered for oppressed people of
Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan.

HOLY MEDINAH, Saudi Arabia: In connection with the annual gathering for hajj delegations from inside and outside the kingdom, a number of Maraje’ and religious scholars assembled in the majlis of Sheikh Al-Omri in the holy city of Medinah last week.
