LONDON, United Kingdom: Besides other husseiniaat and imambaras in London, husseinia Ar-Rasul Al-Adham also revived all Husseini sha’a’ir including procession of Tatbir (slit open head with sharp sword or knife to gush out blood to signify grief on the martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS)), and walking on fire.

Walking on fire is to pay homage to Sayyedah Zainab binte Ali (AS) who rushed to one tent to another when the Yazidis torched their tents on Moharram 10 after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his 72 faithful companions.

Ziarat-i-Ashura is daily recited while Hojjatol-Islam wal Muslimeen Sheikh Abdurrehman Al-Haeyri addresses on husseini sha’a’ir. Sheikh Abdulhasan Al-Assadi addresses the majlis. Alhaj Mulla Mostafa,Mulla Sayyed bo-Baqer, Alhaj Salih Karbalayi and Sayyed Mahdi Aal-e-Ta’amahrecite elegies.
