Pakistani Shiites reject Covid restrictions; nationwide Imam Ali (as) mourning processions held on Moosavi’s call

ISLAMABAD, May 15: The Martyrdom anniversary of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Al-Murtaza (A.S.) was observed throughout the Pakistan with devotion and respect. Matmi protest rallies were taken out in all small and big cities, town, and villages against the government restriction on procession on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. These processions comprised Taboot, Zuljinah, Alam and other Taburrakaat. The mourners carried out peaceful Matmi protest by performing Seena-Zani (Chest Beating), Zanjeer-Zani, Qama-Zani(Tatbeer), Noha Khwani, and Matam. Azadaran took out Matmi processions on their routes by breaking the restrictions of the government on various places.

            The central Matmi procession led by Spiritual leader of shiites Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi was taken out from the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih i.e. Ali Masjid in which thousands of Azadaran participated. Agha Moosavi while talking to media persons and Azadaran on this occasion said that Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) is not only the boasting Peshwa of Shias but of Sunnis also. He warned the government not to opt for collision with the Aliwallas as we accept death but never bargain. He said Imran Khan is a good person but he should not listen to incapable Advisers. He said the government has no decision capability and is confused.

            The TNFJ chief said that Quranic verses heal the corona therefore we have no fear of corona. He said it is our challenge the corona will finish within five days if Khana-e-Kaaba, Masjid-e-Nabavi, shrines of the Aaimma and Masajid are opened; how could our prayers get accepted when all centres of prays are closed, he asked. He said we have carried out symbolic protest against the government measures and if the government did not change its attitude and measures to suppress the Maktab-e-Tashih continued then we can give a big call. He said protest is our basic right and Azadari is the soul of worships. He said we can also direct our processions towards Islamabad but keep the peace, solidarity and stability of the country dear to us therefore our love for peace and motherland should not be considered a weakness.

            Agha Moosavi said that Maktab-e-Tashih has been deprived in all State bodies including the Council for Islamic Ideology and the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. Those who give wrong suggestions while sitting in the power corridors are answerable to Allah, Rasool (SAAW) and Batool (S.A.), he added. He said if the President is Alvi then he should restore the Nara-e-Haideri of the Pakistan Army Commandos which was done away with by a dictator owing to his biasness. He said Kharjees are there even today and there is need to implement the National Action Plan in letter and spirit to finish them.

            The TNFJ chief said they are bound to follow the commandments of Allah, Rasool (SAAW) and Masoomin (A.S.). He said we had informed the government a month ago with reference to Ramazan programmes but the Notification to ban these programmes were done away with at the last moment. He said we are surrounded by the enemy from all around. He said at a time when the enemy is engaged in provocations the day in and day out, the government should not raise internal issues in these circumstances. He said our Azadari protest is against the oppression of and observing mourning is Sunnat-e-Nabavi; being happy in the happiness of holy personalities and being mournful in their mourning is symbol of love and devotion with them. That is why we are taking out these processions, he added. He said the government is bound to take out all processions under the Junejo-Moosavi agreement.

            Agha Moosavi while stating the Manaqab-e-Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) said that Ali (A.S.) was born in Bait Allah and did not open his eyes unless the Nabi (SAAW) took him in his lap; he threw his first sight on Muhammad Mustafa (SAAW). Ali (A.S.) was brought up by Nabi Kareem (SAAW). He supported the Nabi (SAAW) in Dawat-e-Zulasheera, Shoeb-e-Abi Talib (A.S.) and in every tough time in Makkah. He slept in Nabi’s bed on Shab-e-Hijrat without any fear and saved his life. Ali (A.S.) became the icon of Nabi (SAAW), got victory for Islam in all Ghazwaat including Badar, Uhad, Khandaq, Khyber, and Hunain; was declared Nabi’s (SAAW) inheritor in Tabook. He broke idles placed in Kaaba after Fatah-e-Makkah, and in Ghadeer Ali (A.S.) was declared Maula of all Momineen by the Nabi (SAAW). In short, Hazrat Ali (A.S.) remained in the fore with the Holy Prophet (SAAW) in every test and trial. Hazrat Umar Bin Khatab (R.A.) is on record saying that Allah may not bring a time when Ali (A.S.) is not there. He also said that had there been no Ali (A.S.) then Umar would have been killed; but no one said that by saying so Umar (R.A.) has committed any shirk.

            The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi reiterated his resolve that they would not let the motherland Pakistan become the Maslaki State and the Two-Nation Theory will remain intact. He said Sunni and Shia brethren are united at every forum and would remain so for ever. He announced to observe the last Ashara of Ramazan as Jashan Nazool-e-Quran and the Jummatul Widah as Youm Al-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin.

            Meanwhile, according to reports reaching the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, big processions were taken out from Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujrat, Kohat, Mardan, Laki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Dadu, Hyderabad in which Sunni and Shia Azadaran took part showing exemplary display of devotion to Ahle Bait (A.S.), unity and brotherhood. The central Majlis for ladies was held at Jamia Al-Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad in which thousands of women participated and also brought out Taboot Shaheed-e-Kufa. Mukhtar Force volunteers, Ibrahim Scouts, Ummul Baneen WF performed voluntary services during these programmes.
