HOLY CITY OF KARBLA, Iraq: Hundreds of thousand of the lovers and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) flocked to flocked to Holy city of Karbal to pay condolence to Imam al-Hussain(PBUH) and Hazrat Abul-Fadl al-Abbas(PBUH) on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him).
The head of the Department of the processions and Hussayni rituals in the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Haj Riyadh Ni’ma al-Salman spoke to the Al-Kafeel Network, saying: “As usual on every martyrdom anniversary of the infallible imams (peace be upon them), a number of the Karbala Hussayni processions organize themselves to commemorate these sad occasions, starting from the area of Baghdad Gate up to the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine walking through the area between the two Holy Shrines up to the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).”
He added: “We determined a fixed path for the movement of processions, most of which were from the holy Karbala governorate, taking into account the health and preventive conditions as much as possible, given that the revival of this occasion came in exceptional circumstances as a result of the repercussions of the Corona epidemic. So each procession is divided into groups, and proceeds according to a temporal and spatial schedule ensuring the smoothness of their movement.”
